Curriculum Overview

At St Michael’s, our vibrant and inclusive curriculum is shaped by three key drivers:

• High Aspirations & Realising Potential: We aim to broaden horizons and inspire lifelong learning, especially for disadvantaged pupils. Our curriculum connects subjects meaningfully and reflects the heritage of our community.
• Health & Wellbeing: We nurture the whole child through trauma-informed practices, Motional screening, and inclusive PSHE. Our curriculum promotes British Values and cultural awareness through diverse experiences.
• Partnerships: Rooted in our ethos of “Live and Learn Together in God’s Love,” we work as a united school family. Our curriculum reflects local heritage and offers rich opportunities through clubs, trips, and community events.

Implementation: Curriculum teams ensure our teaching is adaptive, sequential, and rooted in experiential learning. Knowledge organisers, same-day interventions, and mastery approaches in maths help embed learning deeply and effectively.
